What does the future of education franchising look like?
Educational franchising is an up-and-coming market. The world is changing every day, and people become lifelong learners changing careers fields now and then. Nowadays, a lot of people realize that to keep up with the changes, you have to continue learning, so you don't get left behind. Overall, we think that the market will only grow. And if a company distributes a high-quality product, then it will find a place in the market.
What advice would you give to new education franchises hoping to break into an international market?
You must come up with how you will maintain the quality because otherwise, you will eventually destroy your reputation. Think about how you will control operational processes, because the difference in running one school and ten of such is enormous.
What makes operating an education franchise unique from running a franchise business in a different sector, such as fitness or a restaurant?
We are lucky: we have a socially positive business. That means, besides profit, the businessperson also makes a positive social impact. They feel like they are doing something great and noble and can improve the educational system in general.

When execution is concerned, with the educational franchise, it is more challenging to maintain the quality, and thus it is typically harder to grow. Again though, Algorithmics has found a workaround for this problem because we distribute not just information but the software (our IT-platform), that besides containing the lesson materials, also allows for quality control based on the data we gather.
