Over the school holidays, students at Lorna Whiston Student Care (Greenwich) in Singapore didn't just take a break — they started building the future.
Through a collaboration between Algorithmics Singapore, our partner center, and Lorna Whiston Student Care, young learners dived into the world of Algorithmics—moving from screen users to creators. Inside the workshop, students worked on three things:
Logical thinking — breaking complex problems down into bite-sized solutions.
Creative coding — designing their own games and digital stories from scratch.
Future-ready skills — mastering the building blocks of AI and software development.
But the real magic wasn't in the lines of code. It was in the "Aha!" moments — when a script finally runs perfectly, and the whole room feels it. The energy was electric as students collaborated, troubleshot, and cheered each other on.
As the saying goes, the best way to predict the future is to create it. That's exactly what these students are learning to do — and it's what happens inside an Algorithmics center anywhere in the world.
